Sustainability also means conscious and smart recycling; this is why Womsh takes part in the Il Giardino di Betty” project, created by esosport, the sports branch of ESO Società Benefit, which creates or restores children's playgrounds, using anti-shock flooring created by recycling used sports shoes, tennis balls, as well as bicycle tyres and inner tubes.

These playgrounds are called “Betty's Garden” as a tribute to Elisabetta Salvioni Meletiou,
the wife of the Managing Director of ESO, Nicolas Meletiou,
responsible for the birth of this project that he holds dear.

Created in 2009, the project immediately aimed at promoting a “recycling cycle” culture.
To reward those who actively take part in this initiative, Womsh offers a €10 discount voucher
to customers who return a pair of used shoes for recycling:
a special thank you for the firm commitment shown by its customers.

The granular material obtained is used to create perfect rubber for making flooring for children's playgrounds,
athletics tracks and sports facilities. The flooring tiles produced by the recycing process is reusable to make children flooring playground, "Betty's Garden" and athletic tracks of the initiative "Pietro's Tracks".

"Il Giardino di Betty" project is now a wonderful example in Italy,
where solidarity goes hand-in-hand with respect for the environment.
